I had planned to wear this outfit to NYFW, but stomping through the ice in these shoes did not seem like the smartest move. I pulled these shoes out of my hotel closet and immediately had a premonition of me falling face first into a snowy, icy sidewalk. I did end up wearing the sweatshirt with two coats, flat, very manly boots, jeans and a beanie. I looked more like a grungey homeless person instead of a chic street style star, but at least I was warm. Anyway, I have been obsessed with the dressed up sweatshirt look so once I got back to the semi warm weather in Dallas, I put my planned look back together. Albertina did not get my “Wear your coat like a cape day” memo and was really confused as to why I wasn’t putting my arms in the sleeves. Shhh Albertina, I’m trying to look cool. And because I’m sure you want to see my “Dereleect Chic” look at fashion week….here you go…

Way to rock the sweatshirt look! I really love it! I am about two seconds away from buying one, and likely this will happen this weekend since my hubby is taking my son skiing and I have a Saturday all to myself! Could be dangerous! This post has just pushed me over the edge to try and rock this look. I spotted a great option from the new less expensive (yeah!) casual Theory line yesterday at Bloomies, they have a perfect option, typical Theory style, just a simple grey sweatshirt, I think it was around $90. You look great! Yes, NYFW weather was quite challenging to say the least!!
