Watch out, TTH, I have a new style crush and it’s Brooklyn based stylist and creative consultant, Kate Foley {I’m sure TTH is just devastated}. I’m not the only one who’s taken notice either. The former Opening Ceremony buyer was recently featured in Elle, The Coveteur and has been popping up everywhere on the streets at fashion month. I always admire women who dress “outside the box”  and her quirky style reminds me to not be afraid in the way I dress either.

Now Trending: Black and White on the Streets

You don’t have to go to the shows at NYFW to get the scoop on the trends, you just have to look at the attendees outside of them. One trend that caught my attention was one of my favorite color combinations, black and white. Editors, buyers and  bloggers have been sporting black and white prints in all shapes and sizes. Color blocking the two, as well as wearing head to toe black or white have also been popular looks. While some trends may be a little tricky or too far out there for me, this is one everyone can wear and the best part is that you can never get it wrong!

Now Stalking: Accounts You Need to Follow for NYFW

Now that fashion week is upon us, the sting of regret is really sinking in. Why did I decide not to go again? For those of you like me who are having depression due to missing out, don’t fret! Social media has allowed us the instant gratification of reading/ seeing / watching up to the minute updates of the NYFW and the street style bonanza! So who/what to stalk to ensure you get the scoop? Allow me to help…

Now NYFW

My Top 5:

1// Style.com { @styledotcom } This was my go to before there was social media. Actually, I used to login to Getty Images to get pictures as the shows happened and then go to Style.com, but my stalking routine has since changed after Twitter and Instagram hit the scene. Whether you want to see the entire collections of Spring 2014 or want to see the latest snaps from Tommy Ton, Style.com is my favorite.

2// Cathy Horyn {@cathyhorynnyt } As the fashion critic for the New York Times and the editor of On the Runway blog, Cathy Horyn is one of fashion’s most powerful voices. She is your front row ticket to the most exclusive shows and she’s not afraid to tell you what she thinks.

3// Pinterest: Designers, brands, and bloggers from New York Fashion Week have teamed up with Pinterest to create a new fashion hub to share their inspiration for the upcoming collections. As a Pinaholic {follow me here} I’m sure I will be pinning details from the runway, street style looks from my heroes and any and all behind the scenes images.

4// Man Repeller aka Leandra Medine { @manrepeller } I have to admit, I was on a brief hiatus from following Leandra, but I have started now that Fashion Week is here. I always enjoy hearing her take on the new trends seen on the runways just as much as looking at what outfits she puts together for the shows. Although a bit over the top, Leandra is always entertaining and brings much needed humor to the week.

5// Eva Chen { @evachen212 } The recently appointed editor in chief of Lucky Magazine and social media guru is one of the funnest gals to follow on Instagram. I don’t even know how I first heard about Eva, but I am constantly inspired by her images. My favorites are her back of the taxi shoe and bag pics. If you don’t already follow her, get ready to be super jealous of her shoe and handbag collection.

Want more? Here are a few more favorites to follow on Twitter and Instagram:

Fashion Writers/ Editors: Marina Larroude { @styledotcommarina }, Caroline Issa of Tank Magazine { @caroissa },  Miroslava Duma of Buro 27 { @miraduma }

Fashion Buyers: Kirna Zabete { @kirnazabete }, Moda Operandi {@modaoperandi } and speaking of Moda, you’ll want to follow it’s founder, Lauren Santo Domingo too { @thelsd }

Fashion Bloggers: Cheetah is the New Black { @aliciamlund }, Could I Have That { @couldihavethat }, Tales of Endearment’s Natalie Joos aka my current fashion hero { @jxxsy }, What Courtney Wore { @thecourtneykerr}

So now it’s your turn….who are your favorites to follow? Give me the scoop!
