Best of NYFW Spring ’13 Part 3 & A Guest Post

There was not one piece in the Jenni Kayne or Victoria Beckham collections that I would not die to wear. Both were clean, simple and styled beautifully. Jenni Kayne always evokes effortless, California cool and her accessories..mainly the D’orsay flats get me every time. Victoria Beckham, known for her slender fitting sheath dresses showed more range with some gorgeous A-line skirts and cool cut out numbers.

Standout collections from Clover Canyon by Rozae Nichols, former J. Crew designer, Marissa Webb and a blogger favorite, Katie Ermilio who showed a private collection for the press. Luckily I found a sneak peek picture.

Major moments included Liberty Ross making a surprise strut down the catwalk at Alexander Wang. The name might sound familiar..she is the wife of Rupert Sanders (as in the Kristen Stewart Rupert Sanders affair). Other memorable moments at A Wang included crazy sheer dresses and a surprise glow in the dark finale.

In other news, New York Times fashion critic, Cathy Horyn, wrote a semi condescending and critical review of Oscar de la Renta so he took out an entire page in WWD and wrote an open letter to Cathy. SNAP!!!!

Oh and of course the street style was pretty amazing!!!!!

PS.. I’m over on Things That Sparkle today while Alex is off to Bora Bora! So jelly!
